| The Planning Sub-Group comments on planning applications submitted to North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council from within the parish and occasional major planning applications submitted in adjacent parishes that could affect the parish. The vast majority of planning applications are determined by North Warwickshire Borough Council who are the planning authority for the area. Some planning applications, such as mineral mining, are determined by Warwickshire County Council. | ||
| Mancetter Parish Council is responsible for Mancetter Cemetery, including the Churchyard, and has a Sub-Group of Parish Councillors who consult on any issues. | ||
| Mancetter Parish Council plays an active role in helping to promote and maintain the Rights of Way in the Parish, although there is no requirement for the Parish Council to have a Footpaths Officer. However, Mancetter Parish has an active footpaths volunteer group who work in partnership with Warwickshire County Council Countryside Recreation Department. John Arrowsmith is a member of this group and deals with rights of way matters for the Parish Council on a voluntary basis, as time permits, and liaises with the Highways Authority which is Warwickshire County Council Countryside Recreation Department. | ||
| Contacting a Parish Councillor | ||
| If you wish to speak to a parish councillor about a particular matter the best way is to first contact the Parish Clerk, as some of the parish councillors have full-time or part-time work commitments. It is likely that the Parish Clerk will be able to help directly with your enquiry or, if not, the Parish Clerk will arrange for the appropriate parish councillor to contact you as soon as possible. | ||
