| About the Community Association | ||
Mancetter Village Community Association was formed in November 2003 to help promote the interests of the people of Mancetter Village and encourage community spirit. There is a committee of nine local residents and we hold regular meetings where all Mancetter residents who are aged 18 and over are welcome to attend to air their views. Membership is free. The association works closely with Mancetter Parish Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council to help to resolve local issues such as traffic calming, litter, weeds, dog mess and parking on pavements. So far we have made very positive steps forward in bringing about action as a result of your concerns. We have the ears of the people who can help us but we need you to air your views so that we can help to resolve them. The authorities will take more notice if we act as a group and voice our concerns together. Mancetter Recreation Ground has been nominated as a QEII Field Mancetter Village Community Association is delighted to learn that Brook Walk Recreation Ground in the centre of Mancetter has been nominated as one of the playing and recreation areas to become a QE11 Field. This nomination will ensure that the field is protected for community use and will give the opportunity to obtain special funding to develop the area further and to improve the facilities for all. |
